The EPA Presents on HEAT’s EDAR System at the 25th Annual CRC Workshop

The EPA has determined that HEAT’s EDAR System is much more accurate than current Remote Sensing Systems.

Constance Hart of the EPA presented on HEAT’s EDAR System this year at the 25th Annual CRC Workshop in Long Beach, CA. Hart’s talk was about the “Sensor Shootout” study held in Colorado in June of 2014. The EPA along with ERG, SGS, and HEAT conducted this study. The goal was to develop tools that could discern between emission levels of vehicles with functioning and non-functioning evaporative emissions canisters. EDAR and the Ion Science Tiger HC monitor were evaluated using different canister locations on the vehicles and incorporating ambient conditions such as fuel spills and wind.
