QUICKBOOKS & EXCEL SPECIALIST
Hager Environmental and Atmospheric Technologies (HEAT), headquartered in Knoxville, TN, is searching for an in-house Quickbooks and Excel Specialist with at least 7 years of experience who has a bachelors degree in Accounting and detailed understanding of accounting principles. Project management and experience working in an engineering environment is a plus.
Our preferred candidate must have a degree in accounting, should be creative, resourceful, and have an eagerness to work for a business with an exciting technology in a small company atmosphere. The ideal candidate should be very comfortable in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines and must be able to wear many different hats while contributing to a range of projects.
HEAT is an innovative environmental company with an exciting, one-of-a-kind NASA spinoff technology used to detect and measure on-road vehicle emissions and is making an impact worldwide with this groundbreaking remote sensing device, EDAR. HEAT is building a team to meet the demands of a growing client base and looking for key members to add to our company.
Responsibilities

Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipts.

Maintaining the payroll and accounting system (Quickbooks).

Budgeting and implementing office procedures

Managing contract logistics and vendors
-
Maximizing cash flow through efficient billing and collection processes.

Office support duties for Executive leadership.

Maintaining processes and inventory
Qualifications
-
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting; Masters is a plus

7+ years of working experience

Strong organizational and analytical skills; oral and written communication skills.

Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.

Solid organizational and time management skills

Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and within a team

Flexible to work nights and weekends as necessary

Requires 3+ years of bookkeeping and administrative experience.

Exceptional communication skills
Additional Skills:

Requires working knowledge of financial statements and automated financial software (i.e. Quickbooks)

Knowledge of accounting procedures to maintain payroll, accounts payables, and receivables.
